Igoh Ogbu has successfully undergone surgery following an Achilles tendon injury sustained while on international duty with the Nigeria.

The Slavia Prague defender picked up the injury during the June international break, with medical tests later confirming a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The setback occurred just days before Nigeria’s international friendly against Portugal, ruling the 24-year-old centre-back out of action for an extended period.

Slavia Prague have since confirmed that Ogbu will be sidelined for around three months as he begins his recovery and rehabilitation process under the club’s medical team.
