Siyabonga Ngezana praises Hugo Broos for not being influenced by social media!
FCSB's Siyabonga Ngezana has been very supportive of Belgian coach Hugo Broos who is doing a great job with Bafana Bafana and said he is not influenced by rumours and social media, noting that the player has been a regular presence in the South African national team due to his consistent good performance at his club level.
The 27-year-old was an integral part of the defence in the two important 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Benin and Lesotho, which the South Africans won 2-0 with an impressive performance and presence.
What did Ngezana say about the national team coach?
Expressing his admiration for the Belgian coach's work with Bafana Bafana and not listening to what is being said on social media, he said:
I think coach Hugo Broos has patience for players and always tries to get the best out of players. So I love his mindset because he’s a patient person, The coach is not controlled by social media, he always sticks to his tactics, and it’s an honour for me to be part of the squad because if you check lately, it’s hard to be in the squad.
Ngezana said.
There are so many quality players who are doing well for their clubs, and the coach doesn’t call up players just because you play in Europe. If you look at our squad, it’s not like before, where you would have players who are on the team because they are playing overseas.
With him, that mentality doesn’t work; he’s always fair enough to give you the opportunity to represent the country if you’re working hard.
Siyabonga concluded.
