As reported by Lance!, six Brazilian teams made it through: Palmeiras, São Paulo, Internacional, Botafogo, Flamengo, and Fortaleza. With Palmeiras, São Paulo, and Internacional in Pot 1, and Botafogo, Flamengo, and Fortaleza in Pot 2, intra-Brazilian duels are a real possibility. Historical rivals such as River Plate, Estudiantes, and Peñarol are also in the mix, adding to the intrigue.
The draw will determine the full bracket through to the final, which will take place on November 29 in Lima, Peru. The first legs are scheduled for August 12–14, with the return matches on August 19–21.
