Jannik Sinner won his first tournament as the world number one. The Italian triumphed at the ATP 500 grass tournament in Halle, Germany.

In the final, Sinner faced Poland's Hubert Hurkacz, who had defeated Alexander Zverev in the semifinal match the day before.

The first set was intense, with neither player losing their serve, but Jannik looked more confident. Ultimately, the favorite secured the set with a win in the tiebreak.

The second set followed a similar pattern. It ended without a single break, with Sinner winning again in the tiebreak.
