The quarterfinal matches of the Australian Open 2025 concluded today in Melbourne.

Details: World No. 1 Jannik Sinner advanced to the semifinals without difficulty, defeating Australian Alex de Minaur (No. 8 ATP) in straight sets.

Sinner took the first set 6-3 and dominated the next two, winning 6-2 and 6-1.

For a place in the final, Sinner will face young American Ben Shelton (No. 20 ATP), who overcame Italian Lorenzo Sonego in four sets.

Notably, Sinner is the defending Australian Open champion.

Reminder: In the other semifinal, Alexander Zverev will face the legendary Novak Djokovic.
