Simon Ngapandouetnbu named Montpellier’s Player of the Month

The Cameroonian international goalkeeper has been named Montpellier’s Player of the Month for October, in recognition of his outstanding performances between the posts for the Ligue 2 side.

During this period, Simon Ngapandouetnbu particularly distinguished himself with three clean sheets in four matches. His solid performances contributed to Montpellier’s strong results, with the side winning all four of their matches played in October.

Since the start of the 2026-2027 season, Simon Ngapandouetnbu has established himself as a key member of his team. After 11 league matches, the Cameroonian has already kept seven clean sheets. He has conceded just six goals in the French second division.

These statistics are testament to his consistency and his importance to the Montpellier side. A few months into the season, the Cameroonian goalkeeper is thus confirming his excellent form whilst playing for Montpellier.
