Simon Ngapandouetnbu is enjoying a remarkable start to the season with Montpellier
The Cameroonian goalkeeper has started the new season in fine form.
Since the kick-off of the 2026–2027 Ligue 2 season, Simon Ngapandouetnbu has shown great consistency. The Cameroonian goalkeeper has already made a name for himself between the posts for Montpellier with three clean sheets in four matches and just one goal conceded.
On the opening day of Ligue 2, on 8 August, Montpellier drew 1–1 with Dijon. That is the only goal Simon Ngapandouetnbu has conceded since the start of the season.
Since then, the 23-year-old Cameroonian has gone three matches in a row without conceding a goal for Montpellier. He kept a clean sheet in the 1–0 victory over Nancy on 14 August, followed by a 1–0 win against Dunkerque on 21 August. On 28 August, he also kept a clean sheet against Boulogne in a 0–0 draw.
As well as his three clean sheets, Simon Ngapandouetnbu has also proved decisive, with 15 saves to his name so far. Last season, the Cameroonian goalkeeper had already shown great reliability with 12 clean sheets.
This start to the 2026–2027 season therefore points to another promising campaign for Simon Ngapandouetnbu.
