Simon Adingra aims to return to the Ivory Coast national team
The Ivory Coast international revealed his ambitions during his official presentation at AS Monaco.
Simon Adingra joined AS Monaco on loan from Sunderland during the winter transfer window. During his official presentation on Wednesday 4 February, the Ivorian player spoke about his ambitions for the Ivory Coast national team and his new club in France's Ligue 1.
He wants to rely on the Monegasque club to relaunch his career and regain his place in the Ivory Coast national team after missing the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
"One of the objectives is to do well in the Coupe de France. On a personal level, I want to give my best, help the team and fully commit to the club's project. Returning to the national team is also one of my ambitions. Getting back to a very high level is important to me, and I have spoken with Emerse Faé, the Ivory Coast coach, who confirmed that joining AS Monaco was a very good choice because it is a very big Ligue 1 club," Adingra told reporters.
