For now, Atlético are playing the waiting game. The Madrid side are evaluating whether Grealish fits into their financial model and if it’s even worth entering a race with growing competition.

It’s worth noting that Grealish joined Manchester City from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021 for a club-record €117.5 million. The Englishman has made 157 appearances for City, scoring 17 goals and providing 23 assists. Last season, he was on loan at Everton, where he underwent knee surgery.
