Silver star. Inter secure Coppa Italia triumph after beating Lazio

Inter and Lazio met in the 2025/26 Coppa Italia final to decide the latest winner of the prestigious trophy.

The outcome was settled in the first half. Lazio defender Adam Marušić opened the scoring with an own goal, before Inter doubled their advantage in the 35th minute through striker Lautaro Martínez to make it 2–0.

Lazio were unable to respond after the break, and the Nerazzurri comfortably held on to their 2–0 lead. It marks Inter’s tenth Coppa Italia triumph, earning them the coveted “silver star” awarded for ten victories in the competition.

Inter recently secured the Serie A title and have now added the Coppa Italia to complete another major domestic success.

Reminder: the future of Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan remains uncertain.
