Shocking twist: several clubs consider legal action to nullify the 2024/25 La Liga season
La Liga clubs are closely monitoring whether Barcelona will be able to register Dani Olmo for the second half of the season. Beyond that, they are reportedly preparing a decisive course of action.
Details: According to Sport.es, several clubs are considering filing a lawsuit to have this La Liga season declared invalid. They argue that Barcelona should not receive any special treatment, sparking discussions about a potential legal challenge.
It is claimed that this move stems from longstanding poor relations between Barcelona president Joan Laporta and various La Liga clubs, tensions that have been building for years.
Reminder: Previous reports indicated that if Barcelona fails to complete Olmo’s registration by December 31, the midfielder could leave the club as a free agent. However, Olmo has so far shown little interest in pursuing that option.
By the way, a second court in Barcelona rejected the club’s appeal regarding Olmo’s registration.
