Shocking news: Nigerian star could cost Highlands Park a big points deduction Franklin Ogbonna

Reports have revealed that Nigerian player Franklin Ogbonna used fake work and study visas to play for Highlands Park in the ABC Motsepe League, a club that recently won the SAFA Gauteng ABC Motsepe League, so the spotlight was on them and the issue is hugely damaging to the club.

Over 34 matches, Highlands Park delivered a strong performance with 26 victories, five draws, and only three losses. However, their season has been thrown into turmoil following the discovery that they fielded an ineligible player—an undocumented immigrant.

FARPost has obtained an affidavit from Reshigan Kistan, a Home Affairs administrative clerk, which verifies that the identification documents submitted by striker Ogbonna were fraudulent. This revelation now puts the club at serious risk of relegation.

This illegal situation threatens the club with the loss of a total of 57 points, and if this decision is enforced by the law, the team will fall back to 26 points and drop to 18th place, leaving the club with only 26 points.
