Shocked fans: Boxer Gervonta Davis drastically changes his look
WBA lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis surprised fans with a new photo on social media platform X, revealing a dramatic hairstyle change.
In the image, the American boxer is seen lying on a couch, looking off to the side. Gone are his signature dreadlocks—replaced by long, straight hair tied back in a ponytail. The look is certainly unusual!
It’s worth noting that Davis recently made headlines with a sensational statement about his plans to retire in 2025.
“I’m going through a lot, been through a lot, been betrayed and s**t like that. It really made me want to give up on the limelight. Everybody chase being in front of the camera. They chase an image. I don’t want to be a part of that,” the boxer said.
He also hinted that his fight against Lamont Roach, scheduled for March 1 in Brooklyn, New York, might be canceled.
Throughout his professional career, Gervonta Davis has fought 30 bouts, winning all of them—28 by knockout. He remains the reigning WBA lightweight champion.
