French side Lyon could be hit with severe sanctions from UEFA next season.
Details: According to The Telegraph, UEFA believes the club has failed to comply with the terms of the financial fair play agreement signed last summer. The breach of financial obligations puts the team's participation in international tournaments at risk, regardless of their current sporting achievements.
If the disqualification comes into effect, the vacant European spot will be handed to another French club.
The main contenders for this European slot are Marseille or Rennes, who would get the opportunity to represent France on the continental stage instead of "Les Gones".
Reminder: Lyon winger Endrick is weighing his options between Real and Lyon.
