Details: According to L'Equipe, Argentine TV host Florencia Peña of Luzu TV mistakenly announced the death of Lionel Messi's father, Jorge.
It is reported that during a live broadcast of the show “El Show del Verano,” Peña received false information from her production team via earpiece and then relayed it live on air.
Once it became clear that the news was untrue, Florencia Peña publicly apologized to Lionel Messi's family and personally contacted his mother, Celia Cuccittini, to offer her apologies, which, according to sources, were accepted. Nevertheless, Peña was dismissed following the incident.
