Sevilla suffered a 0–2 home defeat to Valencia in their Matchday 29 La Liga clash, and the club’s hierarchy is now considering changes.
Details: According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Sevilla are currently weighing up a managerial switch. The club is considering the dismissal of Matías Almeyda. Moreover, the decision has already been made internally, with only the formal procedures left to complete.
Sevilla currently sit 15th in the La Liga table. They have collected 31 points from 29 matches and are just three points clear of the relegation zone. The team is on a four-game winless run, with two defeats and two draws.
It was recently reported that Sevilla head coach Matías Almeyda was involved in a heated altercation with match officials in one of the games. He was shown a red card, but the situation escalated further, resulting in a seven-match suspension.
Reminder: We previously reported that Sergio Ramos is leading an investment group preparing a bid to acquire Sevilla. The total value of the deal is estimated at around €400 million.
