A devastating flood in Nigeria's Borno State has impacted several players from El-Kanemi Warriors.

Details: According to the NPFL, the team’s upcoming match, scheduled for Sunday, September 15, has been postponed due to the disaster. The National Emergency Management Agency reported that at least 414,000 people have been displaced, and 30 lives have been lost.

Several Warriors players living near the flood's epicenter have been affected, and the team's training facility has also suffered damage. El-Kanemi goalkeeper George Abine commented on the situation:

Quote: “It is very troubling as we cannot train as a group. We lack transportation to get to the stadium and to allow those in the city to join us,” he expressed.

The goalkeeper added that everyone needs time to recover from this situation. The flood, caused by the overflow of the Alau Dam following heavy rains, has been described as the worst in 30 years.

Reminder: The Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) has decided not to register the Beyond Limits football academy.
