Džeko's time at Fiorentina is coming to an end.
Details: According to Florian Plettenberg on his X social media page, German side Schalke have reached an agreement with 39-year-old Edin Džeko for a move during the winter transfer window.
It is reported that Schalke are currently negotiating with Fiorentina over the buyout of Džeko's contract, as the player himself has stated his desire to leave Florence following recent scandals within the club.

Džeko joined Fiorentina in the summer of 2025 as a free agent from Fenerbahçe. During his time in Florence, he managed to play 18 matches and scored 2 goals.
Džeko's contract with Fiorentina runs until the summer of 2026, and his transfer value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €1.5 million.
