Setback for Bara Sapoko Ndiaye at Bayern Munich
The young Senegalese midfielder has undergone an appendectomy and is expected to be sidelined until mid-November, according to German media reports.
This operation means Bara Sapoko Ndiaye will miss matches for the Bavarian club. In particular, he will miss the Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund, scheduled for Saturday 31 October, as well as the Champions League match against Atlético Madrid, set for Tuesday 3 November.
Bara Sapoko Ndiaye had not featured in Bayern Munich’s 6–1 victory over Magdeburg in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday 28 October. This absence is a setback for the young Senegalese player, who will now have to focus on his recovery before hoping to rejoin the Bayern squad in mid-November.
Bara Sapoko Ndiaye’s availability for Senegal during the upcoming international break is in doubt.
The 18-year-old Senegalese has played two matches in all competitions this season for Bayern Munich. Bara Sapoko Ndiaye signed a permanent contract with Bayern Munich in August 2026, running until June 2031, following a loan spell from Gambinos Stars.
