Setback for Aït-Nouri as Wolves Suffer Heavy Defeat
Rayan Aït-Nouri and Wolverhampton Wanderers endured a disappointing evening in Round 13 of the Premier League, losing 2-4 at home to Bournemouth. The defeat snapped Wolves’ four-game unbeaten streak and left the team languishing in 18th place in the league table.
Aït-Nouri, deployed in a traditional left-back role, struggled to impact the game offensively, a departure from his usual effectiveness in Wolves’ preferred 3-5-2 system. Despite playing the full 90 minutes, the Algerian international received a modest rating of 6.8 from SofaScore.
Aït-Nouri played a strong defensive game, winning 11 of 16 duels and making five effective tackles. His offensive contribution was limited, though, as he only managed one effective cross in three tries and no shots on goal.
On the ball, he recorded 102 touches with an 87% pass accuracy and succeeded in both dribble attempts. Yet, the tactical adjustment limited his attacking influence, exposing vulnerabilities in Wolves’ setup against a resurgent Bournemouth side.
