In Barcelona’s Matchday 37 La Liga clash, forward Fermín López was forced off the pitch early, and it appears he may have suffered a serious injury.
Details: According to Fernando Polo, the Spanish attacker is suspected of sustaining an injury to the fifth metatarsal of his right foot. He is set to undergo further medical examinations, and if the diagnosis is confirmed, López will miss the 2026 World Championship.
There is, however, some positive news for La Roja, as the recovery process of 18-year-old winger Lamine Yamal is progressing significantly faster and better than doctors initially expected.
As a reminder: A potential move for Inter and Italy defender Alessandro Bastoni to Catalan giants Barcelona is looking increasingly unlikely.
