Today, Inter is hosting Fiorentina in the final match of Serie A Matchday 24, and a highly controversial incident has occurred during the game.

Details: During one of Inter’s attacking sequences, the refereeing team, led by Federico La Penna, failed to notice that the ball had gone out of play before Alessandro Bastoni played it back onto the field.

This play led to a corner kick for Inter, which resulted in Marin Pongračić scoring an own goal, giving the Nerazzurri the lead.

The Italian media heavily criticized the referee’s decision and expressed disbelief that VAR did not intervene to correct the call.
