Serie A club president criticises players' union's lawsuit against FIFA

The conflict between FIFPro and FIFA, who are feuding over the club calendar, has been gaining more and more publicity recently. Some are siding with the players' union and some are taking the opposite stance.

Among them is Genoa president Alberto Zangrillo, who in ordinary life is a professor of medicine. He believes that the big clubs have big squads, which levelled the problem:

‘We don't participate in the European cups, but the big clubs that have this problem also have big squads from which to pick players. I look at the NBA where they play every two or three days, so I'm not worried. They are healthy and they are well paid, so it's only right that they play,’ - quotes Zangrillo website Football Italia.

Recall, earlier FIFPro filed a complaint with the European Commission against FIFA because of the overloaded football calendar. Similar suits made trade unions of England and Spain, but already in the commercial court of Brussels.
