Alexis Ohanian, husband of tennis legend Serena Williams, revealed on Instagram that he recently underwent thyroid surgery.

Ohanian shared that over the past four years, doctors had detected several suspicious nodules on his thyroid, which grew over time and posed a potential cancer risk. As a precaution, the decision was made to surgically remove them.

In an emotional post, Ohanian also reflected on his personal connection to cancer, recalling that his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same age he is now. A decade later, she passed away from brain cancer.

He also previously disclosed his battle with Lyme disease, a bacterial infection transmitted through tick bites.

Alexis Ohanian is an American entrepreneur and co-founder of Reddit. He met Serena Williams in May 2015 in Rome, and the couple tied the knot in 2017. They are proud parents to two daughters: 7-year-old Olympia and 1-year-old Adira.
