Leicester have reached out to their former manager Enzo Maresca, hoping to convince him to return to the King Power Stadium.
Details: After the dismissal of Marti Cifuentes, the Foxes found themselves in a tricky position in the Championship, and according to the Mirror, the club's management sees the Italian as the perfect savior. Maresca has been offered a short-term contract until the end of the season with substantial performance bonuses.

The 45-year-old Italian enjoys an excellent reputation at Leicester: it was under his leadership that the team made a triumphant return to the Premier League in the 2023/24 season. However, after his dismissal from Chelsea on January 1, 2026, Maresca is in no rush to commit to a long-term project.
At the moment, Andy King is serving as caretaker manager, but his debut didn't go as planned—on Saturday, Leicester suffered a home defeat to Charlton. The club's hierarchy is counting on the "Maresca effect" to snatch a playoff spot at the last moment and fight for a return to the top flight.
Maresca himself has decided to take some time to consider his options.
Reminder: The Premier League Matchweek 24 clash between Chelsea and West Ham ended in a brawl.
