Senegalese striker Bamba Dieng is set to join Italy’s Serie A
Currently a free agent, the Senegalese international is expected to sign for Lazio.
Bamba Dieng could make a fresh start in Italy. The Senegalese player, who has been without a club since leaving Ligue 1 side Lorient this summer, is reportedly very close to signing for Lazio.
The Italian club and the 26-year-old Senegalese international are said to have reached an agreement, and the player’s arrival is imminent. According to Matteo Moretto, Bamba Dieng will undergo his medical at Lazio on Thursday 20 August.
The Italian journalist states that these will involve thorough medical examinations, particularly of his knee. If this stage is successfully completed, Bamba Dieng should then sign his contract.
The Senegalese international could be an asset for Lazio. He enjoyed a fine 2025–2026 season playing for Lorient in Ligue 1, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist.
Bamba Dieng had previously been linked with Amed SK in Turkey. However, the 26-year-old Senegalese player’s transfer fell through at the last minute.
