Senegalese striker Abdourahmane Mbodj joins FC Metz
Last season’s top scorer in the Senegalese Ligue 1, the 18-year-old has signed a five-season contract with the French club.
Abdourahmane Mbodj will continue his development in France’s Ligue 2. The Senegalese player, who enjoyed an impressive season with Generation Foot during the 2025–2026 campaign of the Senegalese professional league, has joined FC Metz.
The French club confirmed the Senegalese player’s signing on Tuesday 11 August in a press release. Abdourahmane Mbodj has signed a five-season contract, running until 2031.
Having scored 11 goals last season in the Senegalese Ligue 1, the 18-year-old striker will play in France’s Ligue 2 next season. When his transfer was announced, the Senegalese player promised to give his all for FC Metz.
