Senegalese president awards huge bonuses to the Lions of Teranga after their victory in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations

The 2025 African champions are being treated in a manner befitting their achievement in Morocco. On Tuesday 20 January 2026, after a spectacular parade through the streets of Dakar, President Bassirou Diomaye announced the rewards for their efforts.

Each player, member of the Senegalese Football Federation and sports ministry official who accompanied Senegal to Morocco for the tournament will receive stratospheric bonuses.

Each player will be entitled to €115,000 and 1,500 m² of land on the Little Coast in the Dakar region. €75,000 will be awarded to each member of the Senegalese Football Federation, along with 1,000 m² of land on the Little Coast.

€465,000 and plots of land will be distributed to all Ministry officials who accompanied the national team to the Africa Cup of Nations, which it won.
