Senegalese Ligue 1: Jacob Ba is the new head coach of AJEL Rufisque

The Rufisque club’s new coach served as assistant to his predecessor, Tabane Dieng, last season.

For the new season, AJEL Rufisque has decided to prioritise continuity. Rather than bringing in a coach from outside, the club has chosen to promote a manager who is already thoroughly familiar with the environment, the squad and the working methods established last season.

Jacob Ba will now be responsible for building on the club’s momentum; last season, the team had long kept its supporters dreaming of the Senegalese league title before ultimately faltering in the final stretch. The Senegalese tactician’s mission will therefore be to take AJEL Rufisque to the next level and keep the club among the contenders for the top spots in the league.
