Senegalese goalkeeper Mory Diaw is set to continue his career in Saudi Arabia

After several years in Europe, the Senegalese international is set to take his career in a new direction. Mory Diaw is set to make his debut in the Saudi Pro League playing for Al-Shabab.

An undisputed first-choice goalkeeper last season with Le Havre in France’s Ligue 1, the Senegalese international is set to leave Normandy following his arrival in the summer of 2025. Mory Diaw will therefore not be continuing his time with the French club, which must now rely on the Democratic Republic of the Congo international, Lionel Mpasi, who put in some fine performances at the 2026 World Cup.

According to reports, the Senegalese goalkeeper is expected in Saudi Arabia this Monday to sign his contract. All the formalities for Diaw’s transfer are reportedly finalised, meaning he will leave Le Havre with one year remaining on his contract.

If the transfer is confirmed, it should mark a new chapter in the 33-year-old goalkeeper’s career, having played for several seasons in European football. Mory Diaw will thus be reunited with Thomas Partey, who recently joined Al-Shabab.
