Mikayil Faye is set to leave Rennes on a temporary basis. Following his loan spell at Cremonese last season, the former FC Barcelona reserve team player is preparing to take on a new challenge in Germany.
The 22-year-old Senegalese defender is set to join FC Nuernberg in the German second division. According to Florian Plettenberg, Rennes and the German side have reached an agreement for the player’s loan. However, this loan includes an option to buy.
If Mikayil Faye manages to impress Nürnberg at the end of his loan spell, he is unlikely to return to Rennes.
