Senegal World Cup Camp Faces Off-Field Issues Over Bonuses, Logistics and Contracts
Senegal’s 2026 FIFA World Cup camp is reportedly dealing with several off-field problems despite the team’s strong sporting reputation.
According to local reports, players are still awaiting payment of bonuses, while concerns have also been raised over substandard hotel arrangements for the squad.
There are also claims of inadequate catering, forcing players to source meals externally, as well as the absence of a team chef in the travelling delegation.
In addition, head coach Pape Thiaw is reportedly without a formal contract and has not been paid for several months.
