The Lions of Teranga now know their two opponents for the March 2026 FIFA window. Gambia is one of the teams Senegal will face. This match will be played in Diamniadio in front of the national team's home crowd.

According to the Senegalese press, the friendly match has been confirmed by Ndiamé Diop, president of the Senegalese Football Federation's Organising Committee. It will be an opportunity for the African champions to connect with their fans after their victory on 18 January in Rabat.

Ndiamé Diop also confirmed to the local media that there will be a friendly match between Senegal and Peru during the international break in March. This match will be played in Paris and will allow Pape Thiaw and his players to prepare for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for next summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
