Senegal vs Brazil: The Lions fall to Brazil (0-2)
The Lions were defeated this Saturday. In a friendly match against Brazil at the Emirates Stadium in London, Pape Thiaw's men faced a clinical Seleção side.
Senegal quickly launched attacks on the Brazilian goal, creating the first chance of the match through Ismaila Sarr, whose shot grazed Ederson's post.
But Brazil responded immediately, with Bruno Guimaraes' shot being saved by Edouard Mendy (5th minute). Like a boxing match, the two teams traded blows.
Half an hour into the game, Estêvão beat the Senegalese goalkeeper to give Brazil the lead (1-0).
Carlo Ancelotti's men then sealed the victory with a free kick headed in by Casemiro, completely unmarked at the far post (2-0).
Senegal thus suffered their first defeat in twenty-six matches. Pape Thiaw also conceded his first loss since taking over as manager of the Senegalese national team.
