Senegal to play two friendly matches ahead of the World Cup
The two matches are scheduled for 31 May and 9 June against two different opponents.
Having got off to an ideal start to their preparations during the March international break, the Senegal national team will play two further friendly matches as part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup. The announcement was made by Abdoulaye Fall, president of the Senegalese Football Federation. The first friendly will be against the United States on 31 May in Charlotte, and the second against Saudi Arabia on 9 June in San Antonio.
These friendly matches will allow Pape Thiaw and his team to fine-tune their strategy for the World Cup, scheduled to take place from 11 June to 19 July in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Senegal are in Group I alongside France, Norway and Iraq.
