Senegal join Tanzania in the final of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations

The Young Lions saw off Morocco after a penalty shoot-out.

Senegal are in the final of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations. The young Senegalese side defeated Morocco, the host nation, to qualify for the final.

The two teams fought an intense battle right to the end. No winner emerged in normal time. Senegal and Morocco had to go to a penalty shoot-out. This was also a nail-biting affair. However, Senegal proved more clinical, scoring seven penalties to Morocco’s six.

The Lion Cubs have thus secured their place in the final of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations, which is being held in Morocco. Senegal will face Tanzania in the final next Tuesday.
