No official announcement has been made yet.

But according to local media, the Senegalese Football Federation has reached an agreement with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation for a friendly match before the kick-off of the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico next summer.

This international friendly match is expected to be played between 5 and 9 June 2026. This will be a few days before the World Cup opening match on 11 June 2026. If this match against Saudi Arabia is confirmed, it will be played after the match against the United States on 31 May 2026. These test matches will allow Pape Thiaw and his players to make their final adjustments before competing in the World Cup.

In Group I, Senegal will kick off the World Cup against France on 16 June in New Jersey before facing Norway on 22 June. The Lions of Teranga's third opponent will be known after the intercontinental play-offs, which will be played next March.
