Senegal international Krepin Diatta joins Watford FC
A free agent since his contract with AS Monaco expired this summer, the 27-year-old versatile Senegalese player will play for the Hornets during the 2026–2027 season.
Watford FC confirmed the signing of Krepin Diatta on Thursday 1 October. The Senegalese international has signed a one-year contract with an option for a further year.
The Senegalese midfielder will therefore continue his career in the Championship. Krepin Diatta arrives at Watford with European experience. The Senegalese player played for Club Brugge before joining Monaco in 2021, where he remained until the summer of 2026.
Upon the announcement of his transfer, Krepin Diatta expressed his enthusiasm at joining the Championship side.
“I am very happy to join the team. After talking with the people here, the project was very clear in my head. Watford is a top club that were in the Premier League not too long ago, and I think this is the place they should be.”
