Senegal: Ibrahim Mbaye sets an early record
The young Paris Saint-Germain player is off to a great start in his football career, having recently joined the Senegalese national team. Ibrahim Mbaye hasn't taken long to make a name for himself with the Lions of Teranga.
At 17, Ibrahim Mbaye became the youngest player in Senegal's history to score and provide an assist for the national team. His rise has been impressive.
In his second appearance for Senegal, Mbaye delivered a masterful performance in the resounding 8-0 victory against Kenya: a goal, two assists, and constant activity in the opposition's half. A performance that fully justifies the coach's choice.
Pape Thiaw now has an additional attacking option, one month before the start of the Africa Cup of Nations. Mbaye could join an already well-stocked attacking line alongside Sadio Mané and Ilimane Ndiaye.
