The Cameroonian underwent surgery on Monday.

Martin Ndzie will not play again this season with Rapid Vienna. He was stretchered off on Sunday 15 February during the Vienna derby between Austria and SK Rapid. He was the victim of a violent tackle in the first half. Following medical examinations carried out on 16 February 2026, he was diagnosed with a serious injury, according to an official statement from the Austrian club.

This required surgery. The 23-year-old Cameroonian defender underwent successful meniscus surgery. However, he will be out for several months, SK Rapid announced.

"Several months out for Martin Ndzie. In yesterday's Vienna derby, which was unpleasant in many ways, Martin Ndzie had to leave the pitch in the first half after a violent tackle. Further examinations on Monday confirmed a serious knee injury. The 23-year-old midfielder has already undergone meniscus surgery by the team doctor, Dr Lukas Brandner, and will be out of action for several months. SK Rapid wishes Martin Ndzie, who has played 14 competitive matches this season, a speedy recovery!"
