Scottland FC part ways with head coach Norman Mapeza following their elimination from the CAF Champions League
The Zimbabwean club confirmed the departure of the 54-year-old manager in a statement released on Monday 26 October, just a few months after his arrival.
Appointed in March 2026, the Zimbabwean manager is stepping down from his role. Although Scottland FC did not specify the reasons for Norman Mapeza’s departure, this decision follows the club’s elimination in the second qualifying round of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League.
The club had put themselves in a strong position to qualify by winning 2–0 against Petro Luanda in the first leg. However, the Zimbabweans were defeated in the return leg, thereby jeopardising their continental campaign and bringing an end to their hopes of reaching the group stage.
Following the announcement of Norman Mapeza’s departure, Peter Ndlovu has been appointed interim head coach.
