Scandal in women's basketball. WNBA team under investigation
The coaching staff of the WNBA team Seattle Storm is under investigation due to allegations of harassment and mistreatment of players during the 2024 season.
Details: According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the team has hired a law firm to look into complaints of player abuse. The report states that the allegations are related to incidents that allegedly occurred during practices and games. Additionally, an email obtained by the publication reveals that the investigation has been ongoing for at least two weeks.
Reminder: The head coach of the team is Noelle Quinn, who has held the position since 2021. Last season, her assistants included Perry Huan, Ebony Hoffman, and Pokey Chatman, who also serves as the club’s vice president and general manager.
It is known that Huan left Seattle Storm last month to become an assistant coach at the Lakers' G-League affiliate.
Notably, the Storm finished the regular season with a 25-15 record but were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Las Vegas Aces.
