Scandal hits England squad! Cricket star Carse led out of nightclub in handcuffs
English cricketer Brydon Carse has found himself at the center of a scandal following an alleged altercation outside a nightclub in Derby. The 31-year-old bowler, who is in England’s plans for the upcoming second Test match against Pakistan, was seen in a video circulating on social media surrounded by several police officers.
Footage apparently shows Carse being escorted from the scene in handcuffs. The exact circumstances of the incident remain unclear. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has already confirmed that an investigation is underway.
“We are aware of the incident that reportedly took place in Derby last night and we are currently conducting an investigation. We will provide further information as soon as possible,” the ECB said in a statement.
According to The Telegraph, Carse was briefly detained by police but was not formally arrested. At the time of the incident, he was not with the England squad. Shortly after the incident, he returned to the team hotel.
