Despite this, the report was filed only in January 2025. As El Periodico reported, the victim approached the Barcelona court only six months later, fearing publicity might cost her job, as she is also an employee of Espanyol.
According to the woman, Aguado attacked her in the restroom of the Opium Club, harassed, groped, and then raped her. It should be noted that the investigation is currently facing significant difficulties, as surveillance footage from inside the club has been deleted and evidence from the restroom is absent. It is also emphasized that Opium Club was unaware of the incident until the police visit.
Espanyol, confronted with the situation where both the accused and the victim are their employees, is acting cautiously, pointing to the presumption of innocence. It is noted that Aguado's trial is scheduled for May of this year.
