The transfer corridors of the Indian Premier League have been rocked by a sensational public outburst.
Details: According to Indian Cricket, legendary former cricketer and now Director of Cricket for the Rajasthan Royals franchise, Kumar Sangakkara, launched a blistering attack on English all-round superstar Sam Curran. The cause of the management’s fury was an outrageous case of misinformation about the player’s health, which cost the Indian club a key overseas player at a crucial stage of the season.

Sangakkara did not mince words, accusing Curran and his entourage of faking a major injury that allegedly prevented the Englishman from continuing his IPL campaign:
"We were officially informed that Sam Curran had suffered a serious injury, which forced him to end his season prematurely. But right now, I can see with my own eyes that he’s playing calmly in two or three County Championship matches for Surrey! This is deeply disappointing, because we would have loved to have him here, helping the team out on the field."
Such behavior from overseas players—leaving midseason under the pretense of injury or workload management to play for their domestic or national teams—has long irritated IPL bosses. Sangakkara emphasized that this incident will be the last straw, and welcomed tough countermeasures from the Board of Control for Cricket in India, which has already introduced a three-year ban for unsubstantiated withdrawal from franchise commitments.
“The BCCI’s policy on this matter is now as strict and uncompromising as possible. And I believe that, in the end, every single team in the IPL will ultimately benefit from these tougher rules,” the angry official concluded.
