Scandal around Totti as ex-wife accuses footballer of leaving daughter alone
Roma legend Francesco Totti is under investigation following a complaint from his ex-wife, Ilary Blasi, alleging that he left their children unsupervised.
Details: According to Mundo Deportivo, Totti allegedly left his youngest daughter unattended for several hours. The Rome prosecutor's office has already requested the case be dismissed, arguing there was no real danger for the child. However, Blasi's lawyers disagree and have filed an appeal, claiming the child was completely alone in a large apartment for an extended period. Now, the decision will be made by a judge on December 1, when it will become clear whether the case will be closed for good or the investigation will continue.
The incident took place in May 2023, when Totti went to a restaurant, leaving his three children at home: his seven-year-old daughter and two children aged 9 and 11. Blasi, who was abroad at the time, called her daughter and discovered there were no adults at home, after which she contacted the police. Officers who arrived at the scene did not go up to the apartment and did not check on the children.
The investigation also involves a nanny, who initially claimed to be at home to provide the couple with an alibi, but this information was later refuted.
Reminder: Joshua Zirkzee is looking to leave Manchester United this winter — with Italian side Roma reportedly among the options.
