Scaloni Praises Boca and River Starlets with an Eye on Argentina's Future

In the lead-up to the classic against Brazil in the World Cup Qualifiers, Lionel Scaloni took a few moments to praise the young talents accompanying the Argentina national team. Among them, he especially highlighted Milton Delgado and Franco Mastantuono, promising stars from Boca and River respectively, who are making significant strides.

“They give us a lot of hope. These are young players destined to be with the national team one day, and hopefully for a long time,” Scaloni told Olé.

The coach appreciated the work of the Under-20 team led by Diego Placente and the importance of “knowing how to guide them and bringing them in at the right moment.”

Delgado earned his spot in Boca's midfield following a great performance in the Under-20 South American Championship, while Mastantuono is beginning to establish himself at River, although he missed the recent friendly due to a precautionary physical issue.

Both are part of the albiceleste's future, and Scaloni knows it:

“Hopefully they can contribute for many years.”
