Saudi Arabia has invested heavily across multiple areas of sport, but it has now decided to stop financing one of those ventures.

Details: The sport in question is golf and the LIV Golf league. According to WSJ Sports, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund has already informed staff and players that funding will cease at the end of this season.

As for the PGA Tour, it will not rush to welcome back those golfers who left the organisation to join LIV.

One of golf’s most prestigious tournaments, the Masters, was recently held and crowned a new champion whose name can now be described as both new and familiar.

Reminder: The golfing world has been stirred by footage from a body camera showing the arrest of 50-year-old Tiger Woods.
