Just a week ago, the new season of Brazil's Serie A kicked off, and in the second round of the championship, Santos hosted Bahia on their home turf.

Neymar missed the match of his home team again, which once more couldn't cope without him. As early as the 17th minute, Bahia took the lead thanks to a goal by Eric, but in the second half, the hosts responded—and did so quite spectacularly. In the 50th minute, the score was leveled at 1-1, and ten minutes before the end of the match, Santos took the lead.

However, the hosts couldn't hold onto the positive result. In the final minute of regular time, Bahia equalized and salvaged the match.

Santos played their third official match in a row without Neymar and once again failed to secure a victory. First, there was a defeat in the Paulista Championship semi-final, then a setback in the first round of Serie A, and now—a 2-2 draw in the second round.
