Santos receive offer from American investors to purchase 80% of the club
Brazilian Serie A side Santos could soon have new owners interested in acquiring a majority stake in the club.
Details: According to Eduardo Burgos, Santos have received an offer from the American investment group Saint Dominique Group. They are looking to purchase 80% of the club’s shares with a proposal worth 350 million. Santos now have 90 days to consider the offer.
It is worth noting that Neymar Sr.’s company, the owner of the Pelé brand, is not involved in the negotiations.
Santos currently sit 13th in the Serie A standings with four points after four rounds. In their previous match, they defeated Vasco 2–1.
Reminder: In the Matchday 4 clash of the Serie A Betano, Santos secured victory over Vasco thanks to a brace from 34-year-old Neymar, who delivered a celebration after one of his goals that quickly became the main talking point of the match.
